Second Guessing on Purchase Prices
I hate to buy stuff, big stuff, expensive stuff, mostly because I also-second guess myself on whether I got the best price/deal.
I learned about savvy.com today (Knoxville News Sentinel business section--the old-fashioned paper version) and added the app to my phone.
"The best way to save money after you buy. Simply snap a photo of your receipt and let Savvy track the price you paid, if prices drop we'll alert you."
We have to buy a new router. This will be a good way to check Savvy out.
Have you tried Savvy?

Free Ways To Get as Beautiful as You Feel
New Year's Resolution: EVERY Morning hum to self the refrain of Beautiful by Carole King:
You've got to get up every morning with a smile on your face
And show the world all the love in your heart
Then people gonna treat you better
You're gonna find, yes, you will
That you're beautiful as you feel.
Knoxville, there are some free events to help your outside match your beautiful inside:
The Healthy Living Expo
Friday, January 20, 2012 9am-3pm
St. Mary's/Mercy had a good thing going with their lunches-and-learn. As I recall, though, there was a small fee. It is not surprising that Tennova is offering theirs for free. The next couple coming up are of interest to a "mature" gal like me:
Wrinkle prevention on January 20 at their Turkey Creek location:

An "Eating the Elephant" Activity
You have heard the old saying, "How do you eat an elephant?" with the response being "One bite at a time." This anticipated shopping drop-by, which I'll incorporate in a periodic trip to the west of our city, is not a super-crazed couponing extreme experience but simply a bite of the elephant.
One thing I'll be doing this weekend is going Earth Fare in Bearden. They have a free first pound of apples with a $5 purchase. They e-mail you a notice after you sign up. http://www.earthfare.com/ But I wouldn't be doing it if I hadn't gotten a $5 off $20 coupon from Ace Hardware next door.
Ace also has a rewards program. For 2,500 points, we will get another $5 reward. I think it is going to be a while, because the coupon attachment noted our point total at 104. Check out http://www.acehardware.com/home/index.jsp
